Since the head of the German right wing ultranationalist AfD told him that Hitler and the Nazis were communist (and who would know Hitler and the Nazis better than German ultranationalists) he probably just wanted to use a communist gesture to thank all the tankies enabling his endorsed candidate to win. /s

In the meantime while everyone is looking at Elon Donald is signing executive orders to

    • Grant top secret security clearances to White House staff without going through traditional vetting procedures.
    • Open the Alaska wilderness to more oil and gas drilling.
    • Eliminate environmental justice programs across the government, which are aimed at protecting poor communities from excess pollution.
    • Move to end birthright citizenship, which is guaranteed by the 14th Amendment, for the children of undocumented immigrants.
    • Declare migrant crossings along the U.S.-Mexico border to be a national emergency
    • Remove protections for transgender people in federal prisons.
    • Ensure that states carrying out the death penalty have a “sufficient supply” of lethal injection drugs.

Thank you. I’ve seen way too much focus on a supposed salute than the actual work Trump has been doing. I’m half inclined to believe musk did it on purpose just to distract the left.

If it siegs, hails, and screams, it’s a Nazi. Simple as that. No buts, ifs, no cope - they are Nazis. Even if they pretend not to be.

Evil is banal - it’s become almost banal to repeat it by now. Serial killers are usually just idiots, billionaires are usually just worthless, and by the same coin, anyone worth a damn is usually too smart and nice to actually rid us of evil men.

There are thousands of billionaires and no one does actually do something good or even cool (like free waterparks? Museums? A train fomewhere?) with their wealth. Even elon just bought companies, he’s no invetor or even creator.

So boring on top if the obvious grift.

There is a former billionaire in Florida who gave scholarships for everyone in a certain area who graduated. I can’t remember his name off the top of my head because he isn’t an attention-seeking asshole and I don’t see it every week.

It was actually officially called “Deutscher Gruß” - “German Salut”. Nowadays it’s called “Hitlergruß” - “Hitler salute”. Don’t know if it was also called that back then.

To be clear Germany has no defined “nazi region”. There are federal states where the extremists/nazis have more votes and therefore seats in the respective parliaments. So far they rule none though. And yes it’s disgusting that they haven’t been prohibited, banned or otherwise eliminated from the democratic system, which they clearly try to undermine and hollow out.

it’s alluding to claims (and legal protection) of authenticity in food and drinks, like when they say it’s only champagne when it comes from the champagne region in france, otherwise it’s sparkling water (except california champagne circumvented this but whatever).

They never needed that idiot for that, people can argue amongst themselves quite well.

Fashists will do fashist things it’s up to the people to not let them actually get the power they want. For now I’d consider Germany’s voters and parties to be capable of doing that. We’ll see how the elections go.

It’s just, if he claims to not be a fascist and then looks at Germany with a much broader party spectrum - among them neolibs whose party leader even tried simping for Musk - and still goes for the fascist option then the case seems pretty obvious
