If I understand the corporate history correctly DC has been under the WB brand since 1969. Surely they’ve had both highs and lows over the last 55 years.
Some replies in the Reddit thread confirmed that they had also gotten their money back, while others claimed that their request for a refund was denied, so the decision seems to be made on a case-by-case basis.

Worth it. I get my money back, and I have one less glutinous corporate avenue to blow my hard-earned money on. There are still limitless other ways, (un)fortunately hah…
