So fun fact! This type of helmet is a type of “closed helm” called an Armet which has cheek plates that open up and close around your neck. This portion of the helmet that protects your neck and chin is called a “bevor”.

The other type of closed helm, simply called a “close helm” has the bevor and visor attached to the same hinge like this example:

If you need to move around faster, you could see about getting a squire to follow you bashing some coconut halves together. I hear it can be quite effective, if you can get your hands on one, that is.
