Sadly no, been in multiple discussions, where I was accused of supporting Hamas, because I think both parties are commenting crimes against humanity. Thats apparently not acceptable and antisemitic somehow…
That can go both ways through. To some people, criticizing Hamas or saying that their attack warranted a reaction (which doesn’t mean I’m condoning what’s happening now in any way) means you’re actively calling for genocide.
Nuance is hard, people tend to prefer simple categorization into black and white, good and evil. The statement “Germany is going full fascist” is a perfect example of this.
Give me a break. They sent police after this guy and then banned him from the fucking country for saying something they didn’t like.
There’s no nuance here at all. The fascism in western countries suddenly comes when people criticize Israel.

You dont have to compare when confronted with an objective fact. The person you responded to is right, your cognitive dissonance is irrelevant.
