Everyone should shave their head at least once. You can see if your head shape matches your family. You can see any past injuries to your skull that you might have encountered as a baby, too. If you shave your skull and see old, severe injuries, that you don’t remember having had, or were never in your medical file, they might have occurred when you were an infant. I had a dad that used to punch things when he was mad. He even punched me several times when I was a young child. I shaved my head and I can see indents that look like knuckle marks on my skull, that must have happened when my skull was still kind of soft and plates were forming together. I took him out for a late lunch weeks ago, and he had the nerve to ask me “where did you get those marks on your head?” I looked him right in the eye and said, “it must have been from childhood.” He later had what doctors thought was a stroke, and I was the only person home to take him to the hospital. He said he was “having trouble remembering things.” I think he started remembering what he did to me as a baby, and is now faking dementia. I get to look at my skull every day in the mirror, between making him dinner, doing his laundry, and cleaning his house for him.

The IP addresses of the above two Lemmy users probably lead to a local law enforcement office because that’s how corrupt our local law enforcement offices have become now. I get to be verbally abused online by exes in law enforcement, and all of their law enforcement friends.

Always be skeptical. This sounds interesting though. Why you think they’re harassing you? Also you could try to setup your “father” and see if he actually has dementia. Maybe install some hidden cameras. Dunno how you manage to restrain yourself from hitting him

I see, make sense. By the way you talk about police you seem in the states. Aren’t there places you can put your father? Although that would cost money

Oh that’s the best part, he acts like he’s mentally fine when he wants to present himself that way. The man who raised me is also not my biological father. He told me he had to take the ancestry dna spit tube to another man before submitting dna. The profile is linked to his email address, though. He will openly say things in regards to acknowledging that he isn’t my biological dad, but will then deny it in public. I have been forced to call this person my dad for 35 years, even though he openly admits he has to relay communication to my biological dad. He won’t tell me who my biological dad is. I have had several friends and family members say it is another man in our community. I have met that man and he looks almost identical to me. The man that raised me looks nothing like me. I bet if I threaten to put him in a facility, he would demand another dna test and start to confess everything. I have no idea why I was raised to call this distant relative my dad. He looks absolutely nothing like me, either.

Okay, now I’m definitely recommending therapy. Not because I’m making any judgement about you, but because that sounds like a lot to deal with. Please, take care of yourself…

My father had schizophrenia and said many of the same type of things you’re saying here. Until he was medicated, he also saw these grand conspiracies to harass and threaten him. Once he received treatment, he learned to discern what was and was not real.

I urge you to seek help. Do what he did: set up two evaluations with psychiatrists and get the results. Then, without telling anyone if your intentions, pick a random date and time, drive way out of town, and check yourself into an ER or mental health facility for an emergency psych eval. See if the results match. All three of his did and he realized there was no way this grand conspiracy by shadow actors could have orchestrated it.

Did your father also have ex boyfriends in law enforcement who happen to hate him? It is more likely that you should be screened for mental illness since you might have a hereditary predisposition to it.

Go to a different state and do it. You don’t sound well. Cops lie and plant evidence yes, but cops aren’t out there specifically targeting the Lemmy accounts of their exes to say to get therapy to deal with probable trauma.

This sounds like a clinical paranoia. I’m not a mental health professional though, I can’t clear you.

Yeah, he also responded by deflecting when people tried to offer help or pointed out that his stories didn’t make sense. I’m sure it’s exhausting to always defend an ever-growing, increasingly implausible narrative.

I honestly hope you can find peace, regardless of the source of your trouble.

No, I’m not trolling. I’m being abused by cyber stalkers. They keep making new accounts to stalk and harass me. Some of the names of their accounts are the same as the ones that stalked and harassed me on Reddit.

Umm. If you are having this type of issue for reals, I would talk to the instance admins and mods. I know it is just whack-a-mole on trying to get away from determined bad actors, but using a VPN, making a new username you have never used anywhere, and sanity checking all of your security is a start. Scorch earth your machines and phone if you have to. Wipe them all and start over. If it will make you feel better, take a look at Opnsense or Pfsense and setup a firewall. There are other hardware firewall solutions out there too.

Thank you. That’s all I would like to see happen: For the mods to determine if some of these immediate downvotes and rude comments are coming from the same IP address each time.

I had a read of this and I now sincerely apologize. I don’t think you’re trolling. I think you’re struggling with something that would best be addressed in a quiet setting with a professional. I’m not trying to rile you up. I’ve personally gained a lot of QOL upgrades from talking to a psychologist in the past.

These thoughts might have a basis in reality, but the way your brain is dealing with and amplifying them is not normal or healthy.

Stories like this remind me of the sadder times working at a children’s hospital.

“Non-accidental trauma” is a phrase that haunts me to this day.

Exactly! Those types of things shouldn’t happen to children! I refuse to hit my kids. When I was thirteen I was beaten so badly by the man that raised me that my mother had to rush me to the emergency room, once I regained consciousness. She locked the car door before I could jump out of the car, and run to the ER. She said, “Don’t go! I can’t let you get medical help. If I do, they’ll want to take a report, and they’ll take you away from me.” She began crying, and then turned the car around to drive me home. A couple of days later, I had to play a softball tournament with a concussion. People kept asking me why I had bruises on my face.
