They get it, unlike the many Western leftists who don’t support Ukraine and bring up Nazism as if they’re Putin’s mouthpieces.

From what I’ve seen, at least in the US, it’s mostly conservatives that bring up those arguments to cease support, seemingly stemming from the whole “Zelensky didn’t get dirt on Biden for Trump, so he’s evil and corrupt!” thing. I don’t know if it’s different elsewhere.

Look into Chomsky as an example of the common thought on the left. The mindset is pervasive, which isn’t to say that many on the far-right aren’t just as guilty if not guiltier, given their far reach with the help of people like Musk.

Ahh, I forgot that Chomsky took that stance. I generally liked his opinions on things, but as he’s gotten older, his views have gone a bit odd.

Looking into it a bit further, I was surprised to see the DSA officially doesn’t support sending arms to Ukraine (though the DSA members in congress do support it). I get that they’re anti-war, and don’t want to support the military industrial complex any further, but at least in this specific case, it seems shortsighted of them.

          I stand corrected.
