Back then, Dok-Ja had no idea. He had no idea his favorite web novel ‘Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse’ was going to come to life, and that he would become the only person to know how the world was going to end. He also had no idea he would end up becoming the protagonist of this novel-turned-reality. Now, Dok-Ja will go on a journey to change the course of the story and save humankind once and for all.

Oh hell yeah. The web novel is fantastic, the manwha is a great adaptation, and if they provide this a bit of care it should be a great show.

That said, it takes a while to really get going. The physical manwha started coming out and the entire first two volumes are by and large just okay. Depending on the pacing of the first season it might not blow up the way it could or should simply because it won’t be very good yet.

The adaptation that everybody knew was going to come at some point. ORV is one of the few manhwa I have read regularly in the past and it is pretty good. I remember getting caught up to what was current at the time and then stopping; planning to let the chapters build up again and binge once more. If you are completely unfamiliar, then Gigguk recently did a video on the series to provide some more insight.

The original webnovel is 552 chapters, the Webtoons adaptation is about a third of the way through it at 200+ episodes, and these aren’t short. I wonder what pacing they will go with. I think up through the 4th scenario at episode ~70 of the webtoon is a good stopping point, but that might be too fast and end up incoherent.
