Personally I always go for disintegration. Less danger of hitting yourself. Great against spiders. Super fun to hit enemies from across the map and through walls.

Hard to say, not knowing anything else about your equipment load out, or what other wands you have.

For my play style, I generally prefer the Wand of Disintegration because it’s more versatile. It scales with each enemy struck in a single shot, and gets more powerful through walls. I like to kite mobs into corridors so they’re lined up, and soften them up before a melee attack. Mind vision is also fun, and lets you snipe at mobs from a room or two away.

Corrosion is also good for softening up mobs at range, but is less effective on fast mobs at lower powers. You also need a lot of room or an escape route to use it, whereas Disintegration has no area effect on the player.

Neat, you got a want of Corruption early. Its +0, which is a bummer, but it could make for a necromancer run.

If you have the wand of Corruption and get the Embers quest then you can imbue your staff with Corruption and upgrade it to like +6. As long as you have the embers, wraiths will spawn that you can turn into allies, or at at least friendlies.

Then you can put talent points into swapping positions with them son you can blink back and forth with their position. I think also mind vision effects plays well here too, as long as you’re within range to blink.

It’s a niche style, and the wraiths’ spawn rate is challenging to keep up with. You’d want a ring of energy and/or a chalice to keep up. You’d also want utility wands like MagicMissile, Frost, PrismaticLight or Earth to put down any rogue wraiths you can’t turn in one shot.

M OKs like you already went with disintegration though. Good choice.

The one that summons wraths is the bone dust, not embers. Those can be used to make elemental spells

it’s elemental embers btw not the ones that summon the wraith i gotta agree i was hoping for a necromancer run,but was dissatisfied when i saw it wasn’t the wraith embers quest, btw both the wraith embers and rotberry seed has a secret not much known way to utilise them, is there anything like that for elemental embers as well?

Go for corrosive almost ever. It’s op if you know how to use it. I’d imbue it with your mage staff. The more max charges your corrosive wand can have, the better, and the staff gives you one more max charge on the wand you imbue. It deals so much damage and, as it is AOE, you can take multiple enemies at once. Takes some skill over how the gas expands (it expands differently in tunnels) and on when to use it, but if you know how, it is absolutely powerful and arguably the best staff (or the second best) in the game.

i have used corrosion in past and yeah it’s great and i know what you are talking but i won’t call it the best or second best, there are better wands, also i would like to keep the staff imbued with magic missile as it gives upgrades to my other wands as well which is pretty damn useful

If by “better wands” you mean “a better wand” and by that you mean “Wand of Blasting”, then yes. Top 1, Wand of Blasting. Top 2 Wand of Corrosion

no, i consider wand of prismatic light, wand of warding, wand of regrowth, wand of magic missile and yes wand of blastwave better then corrosion

The useless torch for 2 turns, no damage, and blind for a turn wand; the needs tons of setup and either having lots of this wand or lots of upgrades on it to be somewhat decent; ooh I summon grass 👍; the most simple and plain and almost secondary effectless magic missile wand just get a zapping or disintegration wand; aren’t better than corrosion, in fact, I’d say that I use them for arcane resin or transmute: except the regrowth, which I’d milk until it fails to produce grass, then I’d arcane resin it. The only one I agree is better than the corrosive wand is better, because insta kill is better than almost insta kill for sure.

oh, looks like you got more skill issue

The useless torch for 2 turns, no damage, and blind for a turn wand

you have never used the wand if you think it gives only two turns of torch, even a +0 one gives 4 turns and blinds 2.6 turns, and the blinding really comes in handy when dealing with ranged enemies like those pesky scorpios, warlocks heck even against those succubus, demon rippers that jumps on you can’t jump as long as they are blind

the needs tons of setup and either having lots of this wand or lots of upgrades on it to be somewhat decent

as i said you got skill issue if you always need to do or can’t do setup(can’t imagine how you setup corrosion if you can’t setup wards), the only time you should spend lots of time in setup is in boss fights, and needs a lot of upgrades to be “decent” you say, you can even defeat the dwarf king one handedly if you got lots of upgrades, if that is decent then a corrosion wand with lots of upgrades is basically useless 🤡

              ooh I summon grass 👍

as i said you got skill issue, again you have no idea how useful that grass is against ranged enemies, you keep and keep hitting them and except trying to come close to you they can’t do anything and if you have ever played the game then you would know how weak ranged enemies become in melee, not to mention that grass gives you seeds, dew drops and plants so yeah that grass is super useful compared to some gas

the most simple and plain and almost secondary effectless magic missile wand just get a zapping or disintegration wand

i don’t understand goo goo gaga language, learn to write proper English first cuz this sentence doesn’t even talk about how magic missile is worse then corrosion and if i need to explain how useful the upgrades magic missile then i pity you

The only one I agree is better than the corrosive wand is better

again your sentence is missing some words and got extra useless words

I can’t imagine how this mf will react when he discovers he can take cover against ranged enemies. And, like, why setup with a +three thousand warding wand when you can just invest those in armor and damage and just kill the threat.

taking cover =/= attacking enemies while they can’t and the warding was just an example since you said it only becomes “decent” with lots of upgrades
