From my experience of both:
The people in the top rarely leave their houses except for work because there’s nothing to do that isn’t a 20 minute drive away.
Meanwhile in the bottom there’s a park and 20 restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance, with a million other things a bus ride away.
Rent in the former is 2000 for a 3 bedroom. Rent in the latter is 2000 for a studio.
2000 a week, right?
Lol in some places probably. Around Chicago you can get studios for 1-2k depending on the neighborhood. Cheaper to rent a room though
Those brownstones are like ten times more expensive, though
Yes because they didn’t build enough townhomes
True, but it is ten times more beautiful and eye pleasing, right?
I don’t know the area specifically, but in my experience near me, they’re usually more expensive per square foot, but about the same price for a “home”. However, if you’re looking for a place to hold two kids, usually there isn’t a lot of options, or they are really expensive.
But yard work is my hobby!!! Although I don’t keep a lawn. I create biodiverse places.
Anyway walkable cities ftw
