    Good post. It’s dangerous to dismiss analyses like this as vulgar producerism (just as it’s dangerous to dismiss service industry workers in favor of a mythical white industrial proletariat).

    This is why ultras, especially white Western ultras, should be ignored. Trying to build a workers movement from a western lens only that ignores the entire global south and their cultural context and their voices is leaving out the vast majority of the global working class.

    Imperialism exports the contradictions of capitalism abroad. By shielding the imperial core’s workers from the worst aspects of capitalism and having third world peoples shoulder the burden instead, it allows the bourgeoisie to sustain late stage capitalism at home without the constant threat of revolution that it would cause otherwise.
