For those unaware, this is a scene from the Silmarillion (Fingolfin fighting Morgoth). An epic flight of an elf taking on a demigod.
Looks like that’s Morgoth dueling Fingolfin on the doorstep of Angband. Love this scene from the silmarillion!
Thus he came alone to Angband’s gates, and he sounded his horn, and smote once more upon the brazen doors, and challenged Morgoth to come forth to single combat. And Morgoth came.
That’s what I thought, but where are the Silmarils though, did he just leave them home? I vaguely remember he never parted with them willingly, but I may be wrong.
