  • Really interesting comments by Watts on how Covid impacted the no way home production in multiple ways:

“The emotional strain of having to go through all of those COVID protocols while also trying to make something creative while also trying to make sure that your cast and crew were all safe — literally, people could’ve died if you did things wrong — that and the postproduction process was very difficult. When you’re doing [visual effects work], there’s a whole international component to it where you’re using vendors from all over the world, and the supply chain had been interrupted because of COVID. It was really hard to get effects done in a traditional way.”

  • Case in point, apparently you don’t even realize that this isn’t a movie. It’s a show.

People review bombing stuff that they don’t want to see, and probably didn’t even see (or just the first five minutes), simply is not behaviour that should be encouraged. Unfortunately nowadays reviews don’t mean shit anymore for the original purpose of reviews: to be a guide for people who are interested in watching something, to see if watching this particular thing is worthwhile.

Nowadays these reviews or ratings are being used by the monoculture people to say “at the moment our monoculture likes x and hates y”. And that’s stupid bs that the mainstream has caused.

  • Solid first episode.
Having Jim Rash show up at MIT is always great.
Not sure though about the way they make it seem like every scientist who is bothered by the red tape of the system would instantly agree to go around stealing and extorting people. RiRi was a bit quick to accept that offer. Gives me Scott Lang vibes.

The ending with what seems like ::: spoiler spoiler
    a subconsciously created Nathalie AI

    is a great cliffhanger.
