I think he is trying for more than hip hop.

I was unfortunate to be shown a clip of him saying that he is the King, so he can be the King of Shame or King of No-Shame 👑

He is trying to be for Hate and Racism. He is trying trying to fit in with the Skinhead crowds, he’s proud to meet up and shake hands with Donald Trump.

Its a puzzle to me why he have chosen to align with Hate and Racism, when he most likely have been subject to plenty of that. Is he like the Bully-Victim that becomes Bully?

Anyway he could be setting himself up for a leopard-eating-face moment.

I think partially it’s because earlier on in his career the “things you’re not supposed to say or talk about” were actually good and ahead of the curve.

For example the issues with the response to Katrina. Or discussing the homophobia problem in hip-hop in 2005 and being open about how he discovered he had internalized it and moved past it.

I think he thinks it’s the same thing now and in 10-20 years we’ll all look back and agree. Not seeing it’s just actually awful stuff. Unfortunately mental illness continues to worsen (not an excuse) and he has ostracized himself from anyone that could give him pause or reflection.

It sucks that it’s getting to the point of affecting my opinion of his work because normally I separate it, but that’s just how far he’s fallen.
