Caring about gun deaths means you care about the tool not the death. You don’t care about “the mountain of corpses”, you just want to disarm poor people and minorities.
The issue is we have a ghetto culture that solves things through violence. If we were serious about ending murders (which I do care about), we’d put more law enforcement in the high crime areas and punish people severely. We would be “defunding” the police. We’d increase the police.
Look at any major city and look where the deaths are happening. It’s normally in small sections of the city.
