    Doesn’t matter what route you go down; if you try to actually fix traffic, you will always end up inventing busses and trains.

          50% of trips are less then 3 miles [1].

          So biking should be able to take care of about 50% of all trips. Buses and trains can take care of most other trips. And cars can stay for trips that are time sensitive or on unusual routes.
