Lemmygrad was on Lemmy since pretty much the beginning, and Hexbear joined the next year in July 2020. So who were these tankies who migrated, and when?
Might be referring to r/genZedong/ getting quarantined, that’s when we had a big influx of comrades here.
I just realized the portmanteau “gen Zedong” makes less sense to Americans because they pronounce it zee.
As an american, I’m now confused. How should it be pronounced?
“z” is typically “zed” in Bri’ish English
Ahhh, Okay.
So I would normally say ‘gen zee dong’, but its really ‘gen “zed”-ong’.
