I haven’t confirmed this yet but apparently if you install the app from fdroid you don’t have to worry about that mess with the moderated instances like you would if you installed it from the Google or Apple stores
Oh, that would be a good way to use it then. Other than that, the official app isn’t too bad, from my cursory glance.
EDIT: Although, I guess your problem may still happen, if the issue was actually unrelated 🤔
Considering the app is still like version 0.6.0, I’m guessing it’s a bug.
