In the last month they’ve:
- lied about private school fees,
- lied about foreigners taking all our social housing,
- lied about trans kids having life changing surgery,
- lied about the cost of Net Zero to end users.
These aren’t just honest mistakes, they’re deliberate. Telegraph is now on-par with The Express and News of The World.
“now”. I did a paper round 20 years ago, and the Telegraph was an obvious sack of lying shit then, too. Literally just a Daily Mail tabloid except in more serif-y font and the editors own a thesaurus.
I was going to say, did we respect the torygraph before? I don’t remember thinking it was anything other than a right wing propaganda rag before either.
I respect that one article that says the Soviet Union wanted to pre-emptively strike Germany with a million troops before they invaded Poland except France and Britain said no.
