In 20 years of occupation they lost under 3000 troops. That is with logistics supplying the force on the other side of the world. That’s actually a crazy accomplishment and show of power.
While the military might not be able to “win” if they fully side with trump, America in for a long and bloody (mostly bloody for the civilians) occupation.
