Have you played the fan made game Uranium? Decided to finally try it today.
I’ve heard nothing but horrible things about that game, such as:
- It’s extremely stingy with EXP, making progression really slow and grindy
- A late-game boss who uses a level 70 pokemon with no moves except Overheat, and it has the Contrary ability and a Choice Scarf
- An ice sliding puzzle with an item that’s impossible to get
- Choosing the grass starter in Nuzlocke mode basically guarantees the game will softlock because the unbalanced design makes it hard to win the first rival battle and the game logic isn’t set up to properly handle it
- There’s a late game tile puzzle that the engine can’t handle and it slows to a crawl as a result

Did you know there’s been people rewriting the network code and doing bug/balance fixes to it for the past few years? I’ve been enjoying it with my grass cat. And yeah I guess that screenshot is pretty cringe, but if I had to throw out a game for a couple shitty lines of dialogue there would be nothing left.
Now all those fans of giant, flaming, horse cock will need to go looking somewhere else
