It’s not powerful enough to affect those things, you usually need a stronger electromagnet to start causing issues. I have tried to make the mag-strip on a credit card stop working. As for MRIs, you can actually, they just need to treat it like non-removable shrapnel :)
That does sound cool! Does it mean you can’t handle hard-drives, tapes etc? I guess you can never get an MRI either now
