So the other night I dropped into a mission with a squad and someone pulled up in an Anvil Valkyrie. I had seen it before but never really been in one and wow—this thing is a beast. It is not just a transport. It feels like you are rolling in with authority. Doors slide open, turrets spinning, everyone locked in and ready to drop.

We loaded up like twenty heads in there plus a ground vehicle and it still felt roomy. And once we got into the zone it did not just park and pray. The side guns were active, turrets keeping heat off us, full on battlefield Uber with attitude. It makes you feel like you are part of something bigger. Like you are not just playing a game—you are in a military op.

If you run with a crew or just want to show up loud the Valk is seriously underrated. I spotted one listed at https://starlti.com/products/valkyrie-liberator-wb-lti-original-concept if you are curious.

Anyone else getting vibes that this account is just here to promote starlti? I was already feeling that way a bit with the previous post, but a second post like this seems to be confirming that feeling.

Brand new account. No comments. Only 2 posts are basically promoting a particular ship with a link at the end that it can be purchased on the grey market at a particular website.

TL/DR: The website has a number of issues that make me think its a scam site.

Update 2: @[email protected] has commented below.

Update: Might not necessarily be a scam site, but still risky. I did a bit more digging and it looks like the main user/owner has been selling ships for a while, they did start up a new website, the old website is SckShips and the support email is the same as the one for the StarLti website.

I found their Reddit account and they have listed ships for sale before on r/starcitizen_trades which date back over 10 years.

They’re not blacklisted which is a good sign.

The website itself has a few red flags for me. They say that they claim that they have been involved in the grey market since back in 2013, but I can’t find anything that backs this up.

The website itself looks like it was only established back in March of 2023 (ICANN lookup and there’s nothing before Mar 2023 on the wayback machine).

Within the same day that the website first appeared they already somehow had 32 reviewers giving them 5 stars on all of their purchases (some specifically pointing out that they used the “website” for the purchase).

When the website first launched, they have a link to a discord channel, but the current discord only goes back to February of 2024. As if either their discord was nuked, or they just started up a new one. It looks like it’s an entirely new discord channel as the earliest announcement/rules date back to Feb 2024 and the first users to start posting there started off by claiming “1st”, “2nd”, “3rd” etc.

If they have also have shady marketing tactics where they pose as players and make posts like this, it’s just another flag that this could be a scamsite playing the long game.

What I think could be happening here: This could likely be a scam where they sell off a bunch of ships to players, after a few years they send in tickets to CIG to reclaim their ships, then they switch websites and start again. Most likely a marketing account for the website. A new discord must have been created with the newer website’s name.

Hey, I totally get the skepticism, especially with how much scammy stuff floats around in the grey market. I want to be upfront: I’m not affiliated with StarLTI or the site in question. I’m just a Star Citizen player who made a post about something I found interesting and useful based on my own experience. I shared the link because I figured others might want to check it out too, not to push sales.

I’ve used the site myself, had a smooth transaction, and that’s why I mentioned it. But I also understand that a new account and a positive post can immediately raise suspicion. That’s fair. I should’ve commented around more or given more context instead of just dropping a post with a link. That one’s on me.

I’m not here to market for anyone and I don’t want to mislead anyone either. If people have legit concerns about the site, that’s worth discussing, and I appreciate that research. I’m all for safe buying practices in the SC grey market. We all know how sketchy some sites can be.

Just wanted to clear the air. If there’s a better way for me to contribute or if linking is against the rules, I’ll adjust how I post.

        Thanks for commenting!

I apologize for jumping to any conclusions and thank you for the clarification.

No worries, I had only heard of StarLTI once before, but I hadn’t looked into it too much. Initially there were a few suspicious things about the site which caused me concern. However, after finding out that Sck had undergone some sort of “rebranding” it makes a lot more sense now.

We do have a rule against grey market trading, but it’s more to prevent direct trades within the community and to avoid any scams that can occur because of that. I don’t want to stifle discussions about grey market sites since that can definitely be an important topic, so linking to grey market sites is okay. Edit: But just don’t link to them in every post.
