Sony and Amazon have cancelled The Wheel of Time, their ongoing TV adaptation of Robert Jordan's epic fantasy book series. It's a bummer for fans of the series,
The series is dead. It got cancelled because nobody was watching it and it cost too much for its own good. I very much doubt anyone would want to waste money trying to resurrect it.
Even if it improved in later seasons (I haven’t watched them, but so I’ve heard), new fans would still need to go through the first one to reach the interesting bits from the following seasons, and that one is just… Rough. It looks and feels cheap, it has horrible pacing and, generally speaking, it’s just not good television. Most people bounced hard after the first season, for good reasons.
Anyone willing to resurrect the show knows that season 1 is just an insurmountable obstacle for the series as a whole. No amount of course reversal will ever save it.
