    This is a nothing burger, they are only proposing it in hopes that tech giants will negotiate and make concessions on their own.

    Just introduce the tax. Companies should have zero say in this.

          Sure, but on the picture we see aliexpress, Amazon and zalando, sellers of physical goods.

          Granted, Amazon also sells digital services, but the others do not.

    The new government may use some free time to steer away from the migration-debate they’re currently lost in. Considering the speed Germany acts having its finger on the pulse time, no Big Tech must fear anything although the idea behind this is quite okay. Then, the German forces (Bundeswehr) announce that their new digital platform is built partnered with Google so hey… it’s a little bit nuclear saber-rattling and in the end everything blows out somehow. 🤷‍♂️
