    Jesus christ…

"“Three years after thousands of people violently attacked the U.S. Capitol and assaulted law enforcement officers in an unsuccessful attempt to block our democracy’s peaceful transfer of power,"

"thousands of people violently attacked the U.S. Capitol and assaulted law enforcement officers in an unsuccessful attempt to block our democracy’s peaceful transfer of power,

an unsuccessful attempt to block our democracy’s peaceful transfer of power

Show me where thousands were charged and convicted for insurrection.

Lets look at the numbers, shall we?
Number of people charged, federal: 1,346
Number of people who have pleaded guilty: 797
Number of individuals who have had jury, bench, or stipulated bench trials: 193
    Number with mixed verdicts: 54
Number convicted on all charges: 136
Number acquitted of all charges: 3
    Number of people sentenced: 827
Percentage of people sentenced who have received prison time: 64
Median sentence for those who received prison time, in days: 180
Number of cases dismissed, federal: 10

How many were charged with insurrection. You are claiming it was one. It shouldn’t be that hard to show how many were charged. That would be a big deal.

Last time I saw, it was zero. Zero people were charged for insurrection or rebellion. Zero.

Riot type charges were the most common that I’ve seen.

        Two points:

        1. You are focusing on a very specific detail, someone being charged specifically with “insurrection”-which isn’t at all how this works-and using it as a tool to dismiss every piece of evidence in front of you. This is the type of rhetoric that undermines your credibility and makes you look pedantic and ignorant.

        2. 54 people have been charged with conspiracy. I suggest you look at the article provided, it will give you not just the number of charges, but who, what charge, a description of exactly what the charge was, etc.

Through the power of literacy, we can grow together

Conspiracy means they talked about it and took an action. It means they did not do the crime.

What makes you look silly is being scared of something that didn’t happen. It it’s pedantic to say it’s not an insurrection if nobody was charged for it. No one was even charged with it.

It was a riot. Nothing more. I’ve never said they shouldn’t be charged or they were moral in what they did.

It was a bunch of idiots for the most part that got caught up in the moment. They should be punished lightly expect the few who had greater plans. Those should get strong charges.

While I dislike Biden and he’s a threat to our country. He isn’t a large enough threat to revolt over.

On live tv bro. It happened right in front of all of us. You’re absolutely delusional.

I saw a riot and people wandering around inside. You think if they were going to overtake the government, they’d brought guns and well, overtake the government.

Not leave after a few hours to catch the early bird special at ihop.

I get it’s important for you believe it was more then it was but I deal with facts; not emotions.

If trump loses the next election. Things will continue on.

If Trump wins the election, will you call what happens next an insurrection ?
