Former vice president of Ecuador, Jorge Glas was arrested. It’s part of a series of political persecutions by the vendepatrias that have run this country since Lenin Moreno betrayed his party, country and voters. It’s late and I don’t want to write an in depth piece on Ecuadorian politics. It doesn’t even matter because even people who don’t like Glas can recognize that this is just an absolutely insane action, a violation of the Vienna Convention and something which has few precedents.

Noboa and Milei competing to see who is the first South American president to completely destroy his own country.

who don’t like Glas can recognize that this is just an absolutely insane action

Noboa is so stupid that he did this shit because he wanted an easy win, since his fight against the cartel is going badly. He thought he was going to dominate the Correistas by arresting someone who was once close to Rafael Correa. But Noboa broke international law, and even the US seems to be pissed off about it.

Great plan to isolate your own country from its neighbors and the West when you urgently need help to fight the drug cartels.

Two Vienna convention violations in as many weeks. I can’t help but think the Zionists doing it first helped them think they could get away with it since by comparison it’s a mere raid.

There is definitely some kind of plan to divide latin american, what Milei and Nobua are doing is not mere incompetence.

Ecuador, in the midst of a security crisis, decides to focus on arresting an irrelevant ex-opposition member and break international law in the process. This is no mere idiocy, it is deliberate.

Jorge Glas is still close to Rafael Correa, he was expelled from Lenin Moreno’s government because he refused to participate in the selling the country to the US. Noboa is trying to intimidate the Correaistas and appease his own supporters, all to divert attention from the fact that Noboa is a useless US puppet who is doing nothing to stop his country falling into a civil war against the drug cartels.

His father, Álvaro Noboa, is a billionaire that uses child and slave labor. They are known to abuse public funds and attack trade unions and the IRS. They hate Rafael Correa because he wouldn’t stop the IRS from freezing Noboa’s funds because of accusations of child labor.

What the capricious Noboa has done, is something so scandalous that it will be interesting to see who and how they will throw in the towel, surely Milei and Netanyahu. Even for the US it will be difficult to justify the unjustifiable, they will blame AMLO as a provocateur and Glas as a terrorist. Just as they invented the euphemism “unlawful combatants” to violate the UN Charter on the treatment of prisoners, just as they erroneously interpreted Article 25 of the UN Charter to say that the Security Council’s demand for a ceasefire in Gaza is “not binding”, so perhaps now they will say that the Vienna Convention does not apply in this case.

It is the “rules-based world”, the rules of the empire, which changes them at whim and convenience, but it is the world that is dying, dysfunctional, and that step by step will be replaced by a fairer and more rational one.
