Sew a tennis ball onto your shirt on the chest.

I used to be a side sleeper but an ex g/f broke me of the habit.

you edited your comment to remove the fact that your girlfriend tormented you into switching to a worse sleeping habit.

You literally said your girlfriend forced you to change your sleep style. And you said to your back, not to your side. Conveniently your message is gone now, because you edited it to shape the narrative.

With or without a pillow? I like to sleep on stomach but can’t use a pillow. Then after 5 mins when I move to my side I have to find the pillow and wrap around my head. Then after 5 mins I’ll go to the other side and have to flip the pillow. Then another 5 mins I’ll go back to stomach, ditch the pillow and the cycle continues.

I’m a PT. It’s generally fine to sleep on your stomach. There is no one size fits all for positioning. If you are having issues, then it might be worth seeing a PT to assess and give guidance but you don’t need to change things if you are sleeping well and waking up without issue

If the choice is between my feet being slightly more sore than usual, or letting the sleep paralysis demon that has a cat skull for a face suck on my toes because I did not properly secure them before sleep, that sheet is getting tucked in. Sorry Better Sleep Council.

They’re basically suggesting that you need something to jab you in the back if you roll onto your back. So, by sewing a tennis ball to the back of your nightshirt, your back will hit it if you try to roll onto your back, and you won’t stay there because it would be uncomfortable to sleep on a hard lump.

I’ve been having a real nightmare in recent months with sleeping. I get ear pain if I use a pillow that is too firm, but if I don’t use a firm pillow a soft pillow sinks or bunches up over night and causes neck pain. I can’t use a firm pillow with a soft pillow on top otherwise it’s too high and leads of neck pain. If I sleep on my back I’ll snore.

I just don’t know what to do, I can’t find a suitable pillow.

I’ve tried two different types, one solid memory foam pillow, and my current one is one with foam cubes in it, it seems to be the closest solution, but just not quite right. I feel like Goldilocks.

you could store it under your bedframe when not in use. i just keep mine within arms reach because I’ve accepted that life will consist of never-ending pain after 30

Sorry for the confusion. I meant to ask how would one use it while sleeping
