Doomerism, in reality plenty of millennial can afford homes and every city has plenty of affordable homes.

Money I’d tight but the economy isn’t even remotely close to the worst state it’s been in.

Until we hit 8 people all sharing the same apartment bedroom, we are still a long ways away from what an actual depression looks like.

Its not amazing at the moment, food bank usage is at a recent high, but overall housing is fairly affordable in most places.

The whole “no one can afford a house” thing us doomer memes. I’ve yet to see a city that didnt have houses that were out of reach for a couple making combined 100k couldn’t afford.

Protip: if ANYONE tries to talk to you about housing affordability and kicks things off by talking about the average price of a how, you are getting memed on.

It’s like talking about the average price of a car in a discussion about buying your first car.

The “average” home is a small mansion, lol, much like how the “average” car is probably a new mustang.

Average is the halfway point between a fixer-upper on one end, and the shit Will Smith owns on the other.

First time buyers likely are looking at prices in the bottom 10% or so, the average is like 2x to 3x the price of entry level.

“The average price of a car is 40k, no one can afford that!” This should raise a red flag for you, because you know 5k to 8k cars are for sale right now…

Oh. Right, those are “below average” because the average is the halfway point

As soon as you watch for this clickbait statistic you’ll see Every. Single. Time. that the poster uses it. Every article, every instagram post, every youtuber… they always start off with “the average price of a house is…” and then ramble on with that number as their premise, and if you don’t watch for that, it’s easy to miss it.

Oh look at that, it’s the second bootlicker we get to ban

Your inability to face the reality people deal wih every day does not mean that reality does not exist.

      Bye

The people who run this country don’t want you to own anything at all. Owning things affords you some independence and cuts into profits.
