Built to get the most out of YouTube, this extension comes packed with all sorts of features that allow you, among other things, to control the playback speed and the volume level with the mouse wheel, automate repetitive tasks such as selecting the appropriate playback quality, configure dozens of keyboard shortcuts to control YouTube like a pro, and much more... Give it a try! But be aware that you will never want to use YouTube without it again ;) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/enhancer-for-youtube/

100% this, I had to clear my firefox for a while and then I was trying to install all extensions again and could not find this bloody extension, I got literally a month to find it again and discovered that was not working cause youtube cannot stop changing it’s UI, imagine my happiness.
When you install it you never use youtube controls again, just the extension.

i don’t even care about the adblocking part of this; the best part about enhancer for youtube is the way it automatically fits the video to the entire viewing area, the volume booster, and the ability to disable autoplay for playlists. all of which should be built in to youtube :)

I use it for just two features: video screenshots and increasing playback speed higher than 2x. Both seem like small features but I very quickly notice their absence when I try to use a browser that I haven’t yet installed it in.
