Contrary to public perception, immigrants cannot simply wait and get a green card (permanent residence) after a few years. Legal immigration is less like waiting in line and more like winning the lottery: it happens, but it is so rare that it is irrational to expect it in any individual case.

    I agree.

    Ditch all the lazy, uneducated, white trash middle Americans that think they earned something by being born in ohiana/kentuckiana. It’s not like we take care of them anyway.

    That should make room for exceptional people who actually want to contribute something and provide a net positive for the country.

    Dump the rest in Australia. It worked for the British (and the Australians).
