Have your largest minority language be named after two cities in Mainland China
Be called “Republic of China”

For what I understand they do not disagree that they’re part of one China with the mainland, they just claim that they’re the rightful government and Xi is the rebelious one, don’t know if that makes more sense than the alternative, but explains why so much China stuff
That’s what the KMT believes, but the party in power (DPP / Dumb Pricks and Pigs) believes that Taiwan is its own country
Not just the DPP, most of the population too, especially younger people (or I should say, they don’t see themselves as Chinese and want to uphold the status quo, as opposed to formally becoming a country)
Funnily enough the mainland KMT actually supports the CPC as the rightful government of all China
That’s fair but I think that the use of China in the name of stuff that is parodied on the post stems from this KMT perspective
