Anglers Tavern returns as a much-loved Melbourne landmark, situated by the scenic Maribyrnong River. Recently refurbished, it remains your cherished local spot—a place where you can enjoy a laid-back lunch, a family dinner with the kids, a cold drink or two in the beer garden.
I think it’s just been running for a long time, so lots of older folks have pleasant memories about when they went when they were a child back in 1986. I went on Monday, it was okay. They’ve made it very self serve style - the only thing the waiters do is bring your food and some water. You’re on your own for ordering (done through a QR code), utensils (in a box at your table), and most other things. Also really fucking hard to flag one down if you have questions about the menu
I live 2 streets away and have never been. What’s so good about it?

Sounds like one of the many soul less Woolworths pubs.
