    It’s not really a threat since we do it all the time. lemmy.ml is neither lemmygrad.ml nor hexbear.net.

          ☝ You’ve here been longer than me, @[email protected]. I think you should have figured out by now why we consciously choose to run this instance differently from lemmygrad.

            I honestly don’t even notice which instance I’m in. I don’t mean to start an argument or derail. I just don’t see what you hope to achieve with this tone policing “policy”.

              Because we don’t want to make this place miserable, and a bad experience for anyone. It can be difficult to disagree without being disrespectful, but if you want to win converts, it’s much better.

                Fine but the only way you find out about this policy is by having your time wasted by disappearing comments and vague threats.

          This is would be a good reason if it were explained to the people while their comment was being deleted. This is not what’s being done.

          A little latitude for people behaving like normal human beings would be better. If the requirement for posting here is that everyone have the intellect and consistent principles of Huey Newton then you’re going to be very busy mods.
