I’m just saying, statistically it’s more likely that you will get to see those items in the endgame (either way if you do not see them later on it’d mean they are still unidentified, therefore the basis of your logic doesn’t even stand in that situation) and that, as you have more abilities and items in general, they statistically are less likely to be useful later on (overall if your biggest problem are evil eyes and you can just rat-em); and that you are more likely to need them identified earlier on due to the lack of resources and abilities compared to the endgame.
Also, the scroll that you need to open another scroll to get to is usually either transmutation, magic mapping, retribution, tp, lullaby or rage, between others, but what I’ve observed is that the rarer the scroll, the most likely is to be in that slot, but that’s besides the point.
