I’m just here to make my weekly “Neal Brown is a fucking clown” comment. Like seriously, 45-10, except we got a pity TD to make it 18 and they scored with 25 left and they didn’t give it to them. It’s so tragic I spent $1k on season tickets to watch this bullshit. 1 1/4 enjoyable games at home. Watched us die against Penn State (with a 2 hour weather delay). We beat Albany. We beat Kansas (and looked like shit for 3 quarters and also had another 2 hour weather delay). Got the shit kicked out of us at a night game by ISU. Got the shit kicked out of us even worse tonight by KSU. Only have Baylor and UCF left; Baylor just beat up on Zona, and UCF plays ISU way closer than we did.

    This team is painful.

Bama’s defense is the softer of the two and tends to give up yards and points. I don’t know why Vol’s O just hasn’t gotten untracked here.

You forgot SEC games from 10 years ago, or the Big10 from not long ago? Running and defense all day games? Yea.

Are the cigars a Smoky/Great Smoky Mountains thing? If so, I get it, but there is nothing quite so eye-rollingly bougie as 20-year-olds lighting up a stogie in a golf-shirt. 🤣

GG, Vols. Y’all are uglying your way to a good year.

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_Saturday_in_October#Victory_cigars

In the 1950s, Jim Goostree, the head athletic trainer for Alabama, began another tradition as he began handing out cigars following a victory over the Volunteers.[10] Both teams continued the tradition for some time, though kept it secret due to NCAA rules concerning extra benefits and tobacco products. Alabama publicly restarted the tradition in 2005, though as a result, self-reported an NCAA violation.[11] Every year since 2007, the winner of the Alabama–Tennessee game knowingly violates the NCAA rule and reports the violation in honor of tradition.[12]

Edit: lmao they’ve already updated the 2024 results

Ahh, there we go. I should have known that an eye-rollingly bougie CFB tradition would have started at Bama. 🤣

Not sure I disagree with Bama having gone for this. You need a three and out either way, it’s just that you’re likely down 7 instead of 4 if you pull it off. OT/2pt is arguably a small price to pay for one more play where you control your destiny.

Well, THERE’s the special teams breakdown that comes from not prioritizing it and tempting the football gods by calling it the “GameChanger Coordinator.”

27-13 Gators after a weaving, slightly crazy KO return.

3rd quarter ends with Kentucky at about midfield versus a Florida D that is either tiring or is being coached to give up some yards to milk the clock. Neither idea is particularly impressive, but Lagway looks like the future and we’ve yet to see Billy do anything truly head-scratching, so we got that going for us…

Florida gets some home cooking on the initial call on third-and-goal. Another good drive for DJ though. 34-20.

Would love to be wrong about Billy, but he probably needs to surprise in one of the gauntlet games and take care of business against a very weak FSU to save his job.

Still, they definitely had some moments and actually put a team away, eventually.

Carbon copy of Florida’s previous TD drive. Nice run after a long completion down the seam sets them up. Somebody is NIL’ing the living bejeezus out of Lagway next year. I hope it’s UF.

I’m too old for the B12 to have late games, especially when the Frogs shit the bed with a red zone fumble. 😡

Jeez, Utah’s offense has just imploded without Cam Rising. Frogs are basically playing 4-minute offense going into halftime. Hope that doesn’t come back to bite them, but I can’t even fault them for thinking it will work.

The secondary probably got an earful after the DB held onto a 4th-down arm-punt earlier and cost the Frogs 31 yards.

Time for my biased Miami review. Their offense is top notch, and can keep them in any game. Their defense and special teams are absolute garbage.

Without Cam Ward, this team would probably be 3-4, unfortunately.

I guess the refs decided that they’ve flagged LSU enough. No more penalties for them?
