I hear you and cannot fault you for doing what you feel you have to as a father. I have no dual citizenship so I’d have to start from square one. I have three children and have considered leaving. Like I said, I’d go to Canada but I am nowhere near giving up yet. I’m going to stay and be an old, Atheist, lefty, bisexual thorn in their side. They may try and take me away for any or all of that. I’m really gutted that my fellow Americans are this stupid to have landed us here. I have always flown an American flag but I took it down when I took my Harris/Walz sign down. I’m ashamed of Americans for choosing a fascist. If the gov comes for me or any of my children, they’ll eat lead, come what may.
I think I will just have to resist and protest though. Trump has the power and support (unfortunately) to do his mass deportation but I believe, conversion therapy and coming after gay and trans ppl would be suicide. Hopefully they realize they don’t want a national level Stonewall Riot.
