  • If Luigi wanted to enact change, he could have engaged in advocacy by leveraging his family’s significant wealth and influence (which, he has instead excluded himself from inheriting MILLIONS because of his criminal acts). He could have joined an advocacy group, or gone to law school and taken up practice suing over claims doing pro-bono cases. He’s a smart man, with resources that could have been grown and used to help the people he claimed to commit murder on the behalf of. At the very least, he could have tried to corner Brian Thompson and speak with him to get him to change his policies. He didn’t. Instead, he shot the dude in the back in cold blood, despite having literally no personal stake in the game. Brian got what was coming to him, but Luigi was not justified and he should not be representing the interests of the people. He’s a poser. Nothing more. And he gets what he deserves.

  • If his life was in danger, or he knew someone who was being denied claims that had died or their life was threatened, and he knew that the death of the CEO would lead to saving the lives of said victims, then its justifiable homicide.

But if his medical bills were paid for (they were), and he had no immediate relations being denied life-saving treatments (which he didn’t), and he had no personal connection to United Healthcare (he was never insured by them), and he had no logical reason for believing that killing Brian Thompson would suddenly cause all insurance companies to massively improve rates of claim approval (he had no reason for believing this), then its not justifiable homicide: its just plain murder.

  • CEOs and healthcare officials will tighten security for a few months, judges will be hard on anyone who gives off even a whiff of copycat, and then some other outrage will come along and people will forget and nothing will change. Insurance practices will stay the same. At most, people will make this a second amendment issue, the government will pass some legislation about 3D printed guns, and our lives will all continue to get progressively worse.

  • my point isn’t that leftists agree or disagree. my point is that whatever narrative a Leftist accepts exposes them to unpleasant truths. I don’t know how else to be clearer. Either the executive office has direct immediate effects on the economy therefore we should be worried about Trump (but we must also admit that in the past Democratic policies are directly to blame for catastrophes like 2008), or the executive office doesn’t have a direct economic impact therefore Biden is not to blame for the current state of affairs (but we must also admit that the current state of affairs has nothing to do with Trump). Anything else is cherry picking.
