For being a criminal or by being a grifter?
For being a criminal or by being a grifter?
I’m not arguing but there was a clear delineation where it went from like 20s outlaws to like 1990s pop culture criminals.
You just started naming criminals.
They are believed to have murdered at least nine police officers and four civilians.
He was seen positively by the public because, during robberies, he burned mortgage documents freeing many people from their debts.
Shit seems relevant.
Was Robin Hood a real dude?
It would be ez for an AI to make an lemmy instance.
It’s funny because 2010 internet would have tried to find this guy no matter the circumstances. I’m glad the enamor of social media has worn off so that “not your army” is completely internalized.
I’m not afraid of elons followers. I’m not afraid of trumps followers. I’m not afraid of anyone followers. There is so little we have control over, I will allow them none of my respect. Not even respect for how their stupidity may end up costing their own futures. Though, that amount of stupidity is outstanding.
In this scenario though there is a media frenzy so it plays into everything heavily. You got money coming in from the outside so police feel the need to defend themselves on the world stage. No doubt, though, that horrible shit happens every day that gets overlooked. Thinking of Bianna Taylor getting shot by the police while sleeping in her own home. Just recently cops in Missouri shot a baby and her mother on a domestic disturbance call.
Police either get lucky and solve a crime in the first 48 hours (if they are even trying) or they move on. Otherwise they are out on the streets bullying people trying to give the illusion of order.
Truthfully though. We give them too much responsibility. Every emergency dial 911? Like from heart attacks to killing sprees and your going to send the local high-school rejects in?
Ok. I kinda do. But ok
It’s not those who partake it’s the ones who took issue and thinks because we moved on after it got old we somehow gave into their protest.
Can’t wait for 6 months from now when people are saying, “what a mistake it was to make fun of that CEO” for no fucking reason. Like they do for BLM; defund the police; wokeness; eat the rich; anti-work movement; anything that brings light to the corporate oligarchs and the systems of oppression thet they use. Nah, this is where we are at. You can pretend our morals will overcome but that’s just pretend.
Most problems dont have one fix solutions. Try to explain to any nay sayer that their buy-in is worth 100x more then any criticism they have to offer and you’ll only get criticism.
So, he was essentially just producing more of the same and was good at it?
I’ve been probably been too immersed into online “debate” culture. After a while though you start to reconginize it. When people get heated. You’re like, oh yeah, that’s what my brother would do when dad shut him down.
Do I absolutely need the shovel in my garage? No. Will I use it to hit an intruder in my garage? Yes, for sure.
Calling bullshit. This guy’s from Kentucky, he’s known all of this for quite some time.
Seriously, we’ve known this. The fact that we keep fighting with one hand behind our back, trying to espose morals they don’t care about, is stupid.
