My first house was an 800 sq ft cottage - smaller than most apartments. The bedrooms could only fit a Full bed, not a Queen. It had the same number of rooms OP listed and was the perfect size for me. I’m not familiar with a “bungalow” but that’s what I’m imagining.

Kit@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•What do you like about Lemmy?English21·2 days agoI like the lack of downvotes on blahaj. It helped me break the karma-dopamine loop of Reddit, while still giving the satisfaction of socializing on a board.
I like my HOA, but I live in a condo building. We all pitch in to keep the roof repaired and the common areas cleaned, and the few rules just make life tolerable in such a confined space (quiet hours, for example). I can’t imagine what good an HOA does for single-family homes.

Someone above mentioned a shoulder strap and I think that might work. As it stands, I’ve just been deadlifting it with one hand and carrying it, but it’s difficult because I’m so short.

Does it basically add a strap that you put over your shoulder to assist with lifting?

The stairs have a lip on them which the tires get stuck on. Getting down has also been very difficult as the bike tends to try to run away from me. If I were taller or stronger I think I could do it.
Kit@lemmy.blahaj.zoneOPtomicromobility - Bikes, scooters, boards: Whatever floats your goat, this is micromobility@lemmy.world•How are you getting your ebike up/down stairs?English2·4 days agoThe stairs are pretty steep so a plank of wood would just slide down. I’ve been considering engineering something that can loop around the doorway to prevent it from sliding, but I lack tools or expertise to build it.
I’ve got a Lectric XP 1.0 with fat tires, and it doesn’t roll up the stairs - I have to lift it each step. Combined with the weight and my short stature, I’ve been close to tripping several times.

They never took me to church again and raised me atheist. It sucked because I had to spend nearly the entire summer in a cast.

It’s super simple - toss a ham hock and chopped ham into a slow cooker with 8C of chicken broth, add a finely chopped onion and a couple cloves of minced garlic, toss in a can of petite diced tomatoes, add a bag of 15 bean mix (soaked overnight), cook on low for 8-12 hours. Season with chili powder, salt, and pepper. Squeeze in the juice from a lemon for brightness. Tastes best after resting for a night in the fridge.
