the devs didn’t even do anything because pronouns are still tied to it. this was literally a performative virtue signal and the chuds are performatively making a mountain out of something you interact with for five seconds ahead of dozens of hours of gameplay where you spend 90% of the time not seeing your character and most of the dialogue about you is second-person.

we had a nonverbal kid on the school bus one year and it was really cool of his parents and the school system to abuse that kid and by extension everyone else on the bus route on top of school starting too damn early in the morning. I’m not even sure if low-support adults are able to be effective advocates for the kids who have it the worst.
