I went through this same thing myself a few months ago. I ended up getting it installed but I’ll have to check my obsidian files to remember how I did it.
As @[email protected] recommended, I ended up dropping MySQL Workbench and using dbeaver instead. I liked it much better not only for the features and how easy it was to use but also because I remember it was hard to get Workbench to work in the first place on Fedora.
