They be like: your options are a shit sandwich or getting shot in the head.

When all along your options are every other food too, they just removed them from the menu.

You still should pick the shit sandwich over the shot to the head, but you should as hell be mad at both the one who would pull the trigger and the ones who left you with a shit sandwich as the viable alternative.

Eat the sandwich, remove the trigger man then go after the restaurant owners.

They aren’t the same. They are bad in different ways. One side are corporate shills who are looking to depress the power of workers the other wants to kill blacks, lgbtqa+, Latinos and turn women into sex slave baby machines.

One is clearly worse and we should vote against them, but don’t tell me the Democrats aren’t bad.

  • Over the last two decades we have reduced the amount of time spent to get many of the items we need. Since we can now order online from our homes we don’t have to go out and get them, this frees up a reasonable chunk of time.

Also, over the last 50 or so years we have lost many 3rd places. A 3rd place is where you would spend your time that is not work or home. A bar, community center, an arcade…ect. those were a common place to spend time socializing.

Finally, items like reading and watching TV filled a lot of time. From reading the newspaper to getting the local news. Channel surfing was a big thing for a while. You would cycle through channels until you found something you wanted to watch, you could cycle channels for a while before finding something, so that took up a large chunk of time.

  • I am a sports fan, so take my opinion with the bias it deserves. I find that sports have a decent learning curve, understanding the rules of the game and how players and teams are doing things within those rules is fun and interesting to watch. Sports is also based on a foundation of vested interest. For me, my vested interest is watching teams whom I have grown up supporting, for others, it’s gambling and having a win case to cheer for.

If you don’t know much about the sport and have no reason to cheer for something, I can absolutely see why people would find sports boring.
