me playing Super Nintendo
Id like to do the same, but also, not sure about doing it on an iPhone, and I haven’t “pirated” anything but books.
Me, but I think I’m just sleep deprived.
Individual nations building power and alliances and eventually overthrowing the government. Afterwards there might be a borderless confederation, and settlers would have to be powerless until they earn respect by being helpful.
Idk if Japan and Australia have futures.
?
It literally is though. In the middle ages would you have said “it’s not all feudalism, there’s actually some merchants too!”
So the current global market, as counted by GDP isn’t capitalism?
an economic and political system in which a country’s trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit.
Oh, wait, you’re right. China’s socialist, so not the whole international system. Any given imperialist country still relies on growth to keep capitalism alive, though.
Many capitalists are losing their investments when the economy shrinks though, even if some benefit. The system as a whole needs growth, as all the propertied are expecting to continue accumulating constantly, as physical resources dry up, and workers can hardly be exploited any more.
That’s just capitalism. It’s absurd to define capitalism as only capitalism absent government intervention when the government has always existed on their behalf (as long as the system’s been in place).
Four Thousand Weeks is excellent.
20% of these look mildly interesting 20% I’m familiar with the point they appear to try to make, but am not at all interested in the book 60% are cringe, I second ‘if books could kill.’
Like it won’t happen either way
All I know about Becker is he has a decent podcast and PCUSA hates him because he won’t join the red-brown alliance or uncritically support Russia.
I don’t feel like retyping it, so I’ll link a recent comment here. Generally we need to weaken imperialism, build dual power, and get the confidence to be able to direct spontaneous movements. This means doing Black Panthers type mutual aid, building power among the colonized. An example that currently exists in Chunka Luta. Also, just remembered this podcast.
Keep in mind that most of the impoverished and imprisoned within the US are colonized nations, not dominant settler nation. Also, most of our goods are produced in the global south, while we work jobs that don’t create much value. That said, the USian petty-bourgeoisie is being proletarianized and would benefit from decolonization and socialism. The problem is this is leading more to these vulnerable bougie white people turning more toward overt fascism.
Very reasonable, but that brings News From Nowhere to mind. The novel takes place in a communist future and some of the characters remark the absurdity of people in early socialism not wanting to work. The time-traveling protagonist understands, but in this world people learned to enjoy work again.
Libs = anyone conservatives (far reactionary) don’t like
Where EU flag at?
