6 days agoMaybe your old phone’s screen sucked. I switched from flagship 2021 OLED phone to mid-tier IPS 2020 phone. I prefer IPS, because it crisper and have more neutral colors. And more important, it doesn’t have stupid waterfall edges.

By wasting a scammer’s time you are not preventing people from being scammed, you are just delaying that moment.
At least I kept two of them busy for about 20 minutes so they couldn’t scam other people at the same time

On some public networks, my Wireguard VPN just doesn’t work. Although I can connect to my server using SSH, so I assume the network was configured to block certain ports or how else can it block VPN connections?
6·2 months agoSome time ago, I tried Ubuntu for the first time. I was shocked that the preinstalled Firefox (snap package) took 10 seconds to launch, compared to 1-2 seconds on Windows.

I am copying every single url from browser and paste it to Celluloid. That’s how I watch youtube on PC.
Maybe a reason not to use Snapchat?
It’s only 104 MB/s. Not enough for RAW video.
0·3 months agoAurora store doesn’t work for me on X86 platform. Neigher through Waydroid neither through Android Studio emulator. It just hangs after initial setup.

6·4 months agoMy RPi4 refused to start with a 2x2.5" hard drive, so I did some workarounds. I connected the USB 3.0 +5V pin to the GPIO and powered the RPi using a PD trigger with MINI 560 (5A DC-DC converter). In my case, a random 18W QC brick was enough.
1·4 months agoYt-dlp still works for me on Android, but only for h264 videos. When I try to download VP9, I get an error.
Ads are not built into the video stream yet. But ads came from the same domain as video so you can’t block ads using DNS blocking.
