Their actions follow rationally from the beliefs they share with the rest of “Western civilization”. They believe that a singular all powerful god created a racial hierarchy, put them at the top of it, and made the entire planet and everything in it for their exclusive use. They see the people they’re exterminating as nonhuman vermin infesting the planet god made for them. They respond to any sympathy for their victims the way an average person would respond to the suggestion that they should share their home with rats or cockroaches.

A well adjusted person might find it hard to accept that someone could genuinely believe that, but if you’re speaking English right now then you’re living in a state founded and ruled by people who fundamentally believe the same thing.

Whenever a socdem wins an election, they do one of two things: either a neoliberal pivot after winning, or submit to local bourgeois sabotage until the public blames “progressives” and drives them out of office. Wielding power against the bourgeoisie is “authoritarian”, so the only choices left are to wield it against the working class or wait to be replaced by someone else who will.

The empire is announcing as clearly as possible in one voice that every country on earth that isn’t currently hosting US troops will eventually submit to colonization or be bombed into submission one by one as the rest of the world patiently waits their turn.
