I thought about mentioning that but removed it since the invites would really only be able to come from the admin and maybe a small select group of people. Setting up an invite system with a spreadsheet and involving more than just a few people would likely become a messy and complex endeavor very quickly.
I don’t think Lemmy has it (there is an open issue for invitation links that I don’t believe anyone has worked on). I don’t think MBin or Piefed have it either. Not sure about Mastodon. The beauty of FOSS though is if someone wants it bad enough, they can implement it themselves.
If that’s something you want to try out, then set up an instance and try it out.
Its so good

Considering I have a fiancée, never.
I met my fiancée on a dating app circa 2014
Awesome suggestion. Just started using this (was on Swiftkey) and it’s awesome, especially after adding in the library for glide typing.
I’ve mostly been emulating lately. I’ve been playing Quest for Hat, which is an Earthbound rom hack, and Donkey Kong Country 2 since those have RetroAchievement’s achievement of the week and achievement of the month respectively.
Not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but you can add Nested Desktop as a non-Steam game and access it from Gaming Mode. Makes it so you can switch between games and Desktop without having to exit the game too. You might have to tinker with controls and the dim/sleep power settings.
It wasn’t. He had previously said that he would open source it after it had become more stable, but there was a lot of skepticism that he would follow through.
Seems like a classic case of a film relating to a certain topic pissing off people who are really into that topic. The Brutalist with architecture, Black Swan with ballet, all kinds of fighting movies, all kinds of movies with “science-y” topics, etc. At the end of the day, the film isn’t a documentary and doesn’t need to portray things perfectly, they just need to portray them in a way that allows the story to be told well.
Very cool. Hopefully this plays near me.
I won’t go so far as to say this is better than Terminator 2, but Gremlins 2 is such a great sequel. Some people are turned off by the zaniness, but I love how it’s basically a parody of unnecessary sequels and that they just swung for the fences with it.
Yeah, I play a lot of emulated retro games on my deck. I used Emudeck to get set up but I’ve heard Retrodeck is another good option. It works very well for me.
