If you do it in water it’s not as heavy.

If on vacation, and a parent to small children, I’m going to assume any responsible parent will not leave their children alone whatsoever, unless the children are asleep in a safe place.
It’s “challenging” as much as the rest of the year when not on vacation, in my opinion.
Maybe I’m still misunderstanding or missing something.
I don’t really get the question. How do we “manage” it? In what way, what aspect(s)?
enable the Do Not Disturb feature on your devices
I don’t really need to do this ☝️, because I’ve done this 👇.
and only grant notification permissions to essential apps
Never do I get notifications that I don’t want, unless I’ve installed some new app and haven’t fine-tuned its notification settings yet, after allowing notifications from it at all. 👍
Besides all that, I definitely agree that the FOSS lifestyle helps with a quiet digital existence. You only ever take part in information that you seek out on your own. Very nice.
Also not having installed addictive apps like Instagram or Facebook with algorithm-controlled content, really helps keep away scroll addiction.
Walks. Walking past trees and other natural objects helps the mind process thoughts and emotions, from what I heard. Maybe even not just natural objects.
It engages everything, I suppose. The body and the mind.
Supposedly helps you get over stuff.
I can’t vouch for it myself, but worth giving it a go if it does work. Couldn’t hurt. Good luck, friend!
If it’s really €100, I won’t mind a pirated version with no multiplayer… 🥲🏴☠️
1.0 is still years away, but when it’ll arrive, it’ll all be worth the hassle.
Oof, I think that depends who you ask. 😅 For us who will wait until the game is finished and worth buying, perhaps. And perhaps for others as well, such as yourself, which is of course fine. Big fans will do what they do. No shame. ❤️👌
I might not recommend you to buy it unless you know exactly what you’re getting, but it’s not like I didn’t have fun with it. I wouldn’t say that I got my €50 out of it, but I expect the final game plus DLC (the third star system) to be at least €100.
€100 is insane to me. I would pirate a game costing that much money, that is both single-player and offline. ez decision. Unpopular perhaps, but that is crazy amounts of money for a game.
Very good points. 👌
Ooh, well that’s wonderful. It’s like some grassroots thing. The inventors of the thing refuse to support it, but the people are adopting it on their own. ✊ I’m happy to hear these “news” (to me)! ❤️
Ah no worries. I found it a little bit difficult to believe that the decision wouldn’t be questioned by the company if it didn’t align with its overall goals. That would be weird.
Exactly what I heard. Sad stuff.
I mean, it’s still insignificant enough that it won’t matter yet, right?
But that’s still good. It’s on the right path. Google needs to get their head out of their ass on this one. Still no sign of it years later though.
“Apple” supports it? Which apps? Not that I care much, I have zero Apple products or devices. 👍
Are we JPEG XL yet?
Wow, I just saw this literally two posts above this one.
Haven’t heard of JPEG XL pretty much since it died. And now twice in a few minutes.
Thank you, universe.
You could’ve tried it yourself in the time it took you to craft this reply.
God I hate it when people have no social skills and talk like this.
How the f— do you know the circumstances of the person you’re talking to? Maybe they don’t have a computer at hand.
Don’t you realize how snotty and bratty and annoying this sounds, regardless?
Bah.
have fun figuring out which images you’ve saved are actually webp

or something?
Ah. Right. Sorry, I come from a country where we have “parental days”, where we get paid by the government to be with our children. Forgot about the fact that not everyone gets that benefit.
