I was looking at Proton plans, and I noticed that the Proton Pass Plus plan costs almost double on the 24-month plan compared to the 12-month one. 1 month: USD$4.99 12 months: USD$1.99 24 months: USD$2.99 The Pass Plus plan is the only one that gets more expensive at 24 months. Why is that?
I’m guessing it’s because they recently lowered the prices from 3.99, so the price isn’t infinitely fixed. Currently they have lower costs, just like a loan with flexible interest might be better in the short run, it might rise in the future.
Or they forgot to adjust the 24 month plan.
Can someone tell me what proton pass offers that something like bitwarden does not?
Email masking.
Yeah, that would be helpful for sure
This is possible with Bitwarden to, but via third party services, like DDG, Fastmail, Addy and Simple Login.
@LunchEnjoyer simplelogin == Proton
@HEXN3T Bitwarden connected to SimpleLogin does provide Email Masking - or am I wrong?
If true, that would be Bitwarden connected to SimpleLogin, not Bitwarden.
I don’t see an option for a 24-month plan.
I see it when I try to subscribe to Pass Plus from the Account page (account.proton.me).
Looks like they have it back wards, or they expect you to pay the 24 months in the first 12 months
