Well you see, the doctor just got them to go warp 0, which of course reversed the effects of going warp 10.

Unfortunately, the process also deleted all 100 Teraquads of exact maps of the delta quadrant and the whole universe that would have been an invaluable treasure to all of star fleet and drastically helped voyager reach earth. That’s why those maps, the most stunning and valuable asset any starship has ever obtained, were never, ever mentioned again.

I literally never thought about that particular plot hole considering the cluster fuck that was the rest of the episode

After that, the most heroic thing Voyager could have done is setup somewhere with power and dedicated their entire ship to broadcasting those maps back to the alpha quadrant until the very last crew member was dead. Those maps would literally change the scope and shape of the universe for whoever held them, and it was Starfleet. They could have let starfleet usher in a golden age of peace and tranquility for the galaxy.

Janeway should have made that choice, but nope. Banding about with the most valuable cargo in the universe, at risk of losing it to ripe cheese.

Look, when you’re killing new life forms created in the transporter and turning nebulae into coffee, there’s only so much time on your schedule to devote to such things.

Banding Bandying about with the most valuable cargo in the universe,

I have no idea of the etymology, but I’m fairly certain “to bandy about” means “to wander around aimlessly,” although I think it’s usually applied to conversational topics, as in “Janeway bandied about the idea of giving up coffee, but dismissed it pretty quickly.”

Pedantic, I know, but, I just have this pathological need to correct misused homophones and felt compelled to jump in, so… Sorry? You’re welcome? Either way, have a good day!

Their is always a way to make youre case, and I think you did a grate job.

Edit: it’s actually very impressive that you nearly managed to misuse more words than you used properly, lol

Thanks. I really wanted to misuse “case” as well, but unfortunately it’s a homonym.

Don’t forget that the doctor easily reverted their condition in a single episode. They could have probably found a way to prevent the mutation given a month or two of work.

Or screw that, install warp 10 on Voyager, get back to Earth, wait for all the crew to turn lizards and cure them. Et voilà, in a couple of days you are back safe home.

Well, as long as it’s not brought up again by another show we can just pretend it never happened.

    Dammit, Lower Decks!

Anything in Star Trek is canon if you want it to be. Even if you are totally and absolutely objectively wrong about it.
