Its insane how they mange to frame it as if CHINA is the aggressor and in the same paragraph be like yeah we need to have massive stockpiles of long range bombs to threaten China with. I feel like this is why they dont like Americans to know geography because theyd realize hey wait China is nowhere near us how is this national defence?
I’m pretty sure that as stupid as most Amerikkkans are, they know that China is extremely far away from the U.S.
They just don’t care, they want the whole world to bow down and bend over to the Amerikkkan Empire
Well they also talk about it as “The Indo-Pacific” and a lot of Americans probably assume thats like Hawaii/California area not indonesia and japan. Cuz they hear pacific and thats what they think of first.
I really fucking hope that most Amerikkkans aren’t that fucking stupid.
Even if I wasn’t a marxist and just like an “average” neoliberal, my mind would automatically think Japan or China, before anywhere near California. I would think that the U.S. should have comparatively little business in the Pacific.
I’m aware the California’s coast is the Pacific, but I wouldn’t consider that to be the Pacific Heartland.
I’m kind of glad I graduated high-school in the mid 2010’s, right before the Reich-Wing further escalated it’s war on even the shit education system.
From what ive seen and heard a lot of highschoolers these days can barely even read.
It is worse than just high schoolers. I have heard many people in the US speak and act in such a way to make you feel ashamed for them. Most Americans do not read at all. You can go in many homes and see less than 10 books, talk to children who have never gone to the library. The issue is that the problem is cyclical, if an individual has not improved themselves through literacy it will be even more difficult for their children to.
Yeah very true. Im studying higher level math from textbooks my grandfather bought in the 1950s lol. Algebra, Trig, Calculus, Differential Equations, etc. If i didnt have those books sitting gathering dust since he died 15 years ago id have had to buy them all myself and that wouldnt be cheap.
Yeah, it’s extremely unfortunate, anger-inducing and heartbreaking. It will take generations to even somewhat heal from this.
The U.S. is doomed.
I think a lot of people genuinely believe China is gearing up to attack us for no real reason beyond spite.
War has been merged with PR for quite a long time, particularly in the empire. An omnipresent example is relabeling the war department and war itself as “defense”, or in this case “deterrence”, even though it is used exclusively for wars of aggression.
Deter China
From existing?
There’s probably a way to save all the precious bombs from being “stolen” by ebil hooties, but we’re stuck playing Western Geopolitics: Wrong Answers Only Edition.
Also, Ansarallah stay winning; the whole world increasingly owes the Yemeni people a great debt that can never be fully repayed.
They are so fucking scared of Ansarallah. Yemen is only 5.5% the size of China and it has already been bombed for a decade. How many bombs could it take? If their stocks can’t deal with that tiny discrepancy they aren’t going to win a war with China.
“But Joe Biden and Trump said that the Hoochies are big scary brown Jew-haters! We need to bomb them because they are uncivilized!”
So the real takeaway here is that the US military is basically that player in a video game who hoards all their health potions for the final boss, but keeps getting wrecked by the “mid-tier” opponents along the way because they’re “saving it” for the big showdown. Newsflash: there are no save points in real life. And that’s why smaller powers, like Yemen, can inflict serious pain on the US military, as the latter is trying to win a game it looks down on with one hand tied behind its back.
This also highlights why having a balance of power, like a bipolar system, is crucial for keeping Western dominance in check. After the USSR fell, that balance went out the window, but it’s slowly coming back now thanks to China. The key message being expressed here by these “worried US commanders” is going to show how important the role of China is in the world order.
The key to saving important items for when they’re needed, is to actually be competent and excellent in the game in the first place.
Now that the U.S. has started using a metric-shit ton of important items and resources, and STILL getting their asses handed to them (Ukraine, Isn’tReal, Venezuela, Yemen) it would take fucking decades to build up a mixed-system of resources, infrastructure and items, let alone to build up something even slightly frighteningly large, let alone something to actually substantially threatening to China or Russia, and further let alone something to actually challenge them on a somewhat serious level.
Hindsight is definitely 20/20, but it seems like the whole world has been extraordinarily coerced and gaslit by the U.S. to believe it’s own propaganda about it being an unstoppable beast. The “main character’s” plot armor is rapidly increasingly failing.
“Oh no, we want to bomb everyone at the same time, and we can’t!”
Boo fucking hoo
There’s a quote from the Hellsing anime that I think is appropriate here: “Ladies and gentlemen, we will move forward with our plans for the impending war. And for the war beyond that, and the war beyond that. And the next, and the next!”
